
at some point your child will break something that matters to you and will produce non-urgent but very loud repeated sounds when your nervous system is already fried. let’s collectively take a little seccy sec if possible so we don’t react with our whole chest. adults need it just as much internally with ourselves any time our nervous system is tweaked. this applies to deciding what we’re gonna eat next, how we’re going to handle a challenging interpersonal thing etc etc etc
